We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations for our handloom textiles business. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, handling inventory-related financials, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with financial reports to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day financial records including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
- Prepare and verify invoices for wholesale, retail, and e-commerce textile sales.
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances related to the textile industry.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.
- Track inventory costs, stock valuation, and wastage management specific to handloom textiles.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely submission of financial documents.
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights for business decision-making.
- Assist in pricing strategy by calculating product costing (yarn, weaving, dyeing, labor, etc.).
- Maintain accurate payroll records for weavers, staff, and other employees.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com/CA Inter preferred).
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in textiles/handloom or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
